Privacy Policy

Sentio Counseling Center takes great precaution to protect the privacy and confidentiality of all stakeholders as applicable. We pay close attention to our security practices to meet the highest possible standards of protection for our clients and their families.

SCC provides telehealth services via video conference and telephone. All video conference meetings are conducted over a version of Zoom that is encrypted and HIPAA compliant. Clients have the option to consent to video recording of sessions which are used for internal training purposes. If consent is given, these recordings are stored on an encrypted server for no more than 30 days and subsequently deleted. All video conference sessions are conducted using a unique client-specific link for each individual session. Each client is required to sign up using personalized log-in information that can only be accessed with knowledge of the relevant username and password. Similarly, all counselors are required to use a unique username and password to access the encrypted telehealth software for sessions and storage of client information.

Prior to beginning counseling services, all clients and/or individuals serving as guardians for clients are required to provide information related to the client’s mental health. This information is used for treatment purposes. We do not share confidential information with any third parties unless required by law, for payment and financial purposes, or for the defense of legal matters.
